郭思嘉(Nicole Constable)
郭思嘉，原名尼科勒·康斯特布尔，一九五八年出生于美国加里福尼亚。一九八零年毕业于加里福尼亚大学圣巴巴拉分校，获文学士学位。一九八三年获加里福尼亚大学伯克莱分校文学硕士学位。一九八九年再考获人类学博士学位，论文题目为《The village of humble workship : religion ad ethnicity in a Hakka Protestant Community in Hong Kong(Chinese Christians)》。毕业后，曾任加利福尼亚大学人类学副教授。现为匹兹堡大学人类学教授兼该大学国际研究中心研究教授。研究范围包括人类学、现代与当代中国、香港社会和宗教、海外华人和客家人研究等课题。主要著作《Christian souls and Chinese spirits : a Hakka community in Hong Kong》，《Maid to order in Hong Kong : stories of Filipina workers》和《Romance on a global stage : pen pals, virtual ethnography, and "mail-order" marriage》等。她也主编《Guest people : Hakka identity in China and abroad》，并发表过多篇有关的论文。郭教授是一位社会文化人类学家，通晓中文和广东话，曾在香港调查客家人社区基督教信仰问题和香港菲律宾家庭女佣的问题并将调查结果撰写成书出版。
