陈守国（Tan, Antonio S) 1932-1988
陈守国，一九三二年生于菲律滨。一九五六年获菲律滨圣多马士大学文学士学位，一九五九年获菲律滨大学硕士学位。一九六七年获菲律滨大学、美国富布莱和亚洲基金会助学金前往美国加利福尼亚大学克伯莱分校历史系攻读博士学位。一九六九年考获博士学位，论文为《The emergence of Philippine Chinese national and political consciousness, 1880-1935》。此论文经修改后以专书《The Chinese in the Philippines, 1895-1935 : a study of their national awakening》于一九七二年出版。回国后，担任菲律滨大学亚洲研究中心教授，主讲《中国与菲律滨双方关系》，《菲律滨华人》等课程。研究兴趣是《华人混血儿与菲律滨民族》，《菲律滨反华歧视》等课题。陈教授不幸于一九八八年因急病逝世，享年五十六岁。主要著作有：《Chinese in the Philippines during the Japanese occupation 1942-1945》，《The Chinese mestizos and the formation of the Filipino nationality》和《The ideology of Pedro Abad Santos' Socialist Party》等。菲律滨华裔青年联合会为了纪念陈教授逝世一周年纪念特将他曾在国际研讨会宣读过的两篇有关菲律滨华人的英文论文翻译成中文本：《华人混血儿与菲律滨民族的形成》（The Chinese mestizo and the formation of the Filipino nationality》和《菲律滨五百年的反华歧视》（Five hundred years of anti-Chinese prejudices),由该联合会于一九八九年出版。
