The NUS Library is pleased to publish this select bibliography of critical writings on Singapore literature written in English as our contribution to the NUS Millennium Celebrations 2000.

The bibliography is divided into four major parts, namely, Singapore literature, Singapore fiction, Singapore poetry and Singapore drama & theatre.  The parts on fiction, poetry and drama & theatre are further sub-divided by a section on individual authors and writers.

The writings cited in the bibliography are published in the English language.  They include articles in journals and newspapers, books and book chapters, and academic exercises and theses.  They are available for consultation in the NUS Central Library.

We hope that the bibliography will be useful to researchers and laypersons interested in critical writings about Singapore literature written in English.
